DERBY PLANNING COMMISSION AGENDA

PUBLIC MEETING

 

There will be a public meeting of the Town of Derby Planning Commission on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Derby Municipal Building, 124 Main Street, to consider the following:

 

AGENDA

 

1.) To approve the minutes of the previous meeting;

 

2.) Public Hearing for bylaw amendments;

 

3.) To consider the proposed bylaw amendments discussed at the Public Hearing;

 

4.) To consider application 12-003 by Thomas & Claire Roberts, PIN #TRD06040A2T, for preliminary and final plat approval for a 3 lot subdivision.  Lot #1 – 3.7 ac, lot #2 – 3.1 ac, and lot #3 6.5 ac.  This property is located at 1900 North Derby Road and is the Residential One Acre (R1) zoning district.

 

5.) To consider application 12-006 by Douglas & Vivian Spates, PIN #NDRT5022G3T, for preliminary and final plat approval for a 2 lot subdivision.  Lot #1 – 1.0 ac and lot #2 – 2.78 ac.  This property is located at off Route 5 west of Country Side Commons and is the Commercial (COM) zoning district.

 

6.) To review a bylaw amendment to add Petroleum/Propane Bulk Storage as a permitted or conditional use in the Commercial/Industrial (COM/IND) zoning district;

 

7.)  To review other bylaw amendments;

 

8.) Other business;

TOWN OF DERBY

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

Notice is hereby given to the residents of the Town of Derby, VT that the Derby Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the Selectboard Room of the Municipal Building, 124 Main Street Derby Center on Monday January 16, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.  This hearing will be held for public review of and comment on the revised zoning bylaw pursuant to Title 24 VSA, Chapter 117.

 

The purpose of the proposed zoning bylaw revision is to provide for the future growth and development of the Town of Derby.  The revised zoning bylaw, if and when adopted, will affect all nonconformities within the Town of Derby.

 


Proposed Zoning Bylaw Amendments

 

1.)    Total revision of Article 3 to allow more flexibility and greater clarity in how nonconformities will be treated:

 

ARTICLE 3:         NONCONFORMITIES

 

In conformance with Title 24 VSA §4412(7), the following provisions shall apply to all nonconformities existing on the effective date of this bylaw.
